About:

Mohamed Abdelaziz Nahar, I was born in Khartoum, Sudan, in February 2001, surrounded by the colors, sounds, and everyday life of my city. My earliest memories of art are not from books or museums, but from the living room of my home-watching my father sketch the faces of my siblings with a patience and grace that felt like magic. I was a boy of eleven, I was fascinated, trying to copy his lines and shapes. When he saw my interest, he encouraged me-teaching me, supporting me, and placing in my hands my first brushes and colors. That was where my artistic journey began.
Watercolor soon became my favorite medium. It felt natural and honest-allowing me to express my emotions freely and translate my thoughts into color.
In 2018, l joined the College of Fine and Applied Arts at Sudan University of Science and Technology, majoring in Painting. My studies were interrupted by the war in Sudan, and I eventually moved to the United States, where I am now based in Ohio.
Today, I continue to create work inspired by both my Sudanese roots and my new experiences abroad. My paintings explore the beauty hidden in ordinary life-faces, streets, and moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed. Through my art, I aim to build connections. share emotions, and remind people that beauty can be found anywhere.
